  • What is PoshVine?
    PoshVine is an online destination to discover, book and enjoy awesome dining and culinary experiences. On one hand, you can make fast, free, instant reservations to the best restaurants and enjoy insider benefits. On the other hand, you can discover handpicked experiences and book them directly from the website www.poshvine.com.
  • How does PoshVine work?
    PoshVine works in 2 ways. On one hand, PoshVine partners with the best dining destinations, from storied icons to upcoming gems and helps them fill their tables with well-heeled diners. You find your choice of restaurant on PoshVine, and you quickly make a reservation in under a minute. Our proprietary technology links to the restaurant backend and gives you a confirmation on your reservation immediately. On the other hand, PoshVine partners with industry insiders or passionate people in the community to showcase unique gastronomy experiences, generally not available elsewhere. As a foodie, you can directly book any experience directly from the website and upon successful payment, get your access confirmed for the experience.
  • Who can use PoshVine?
    Absolutely anyone looking for a great dining experience. Whether you want to go to your favorite restaurant or want to spend a weekend afternoon in an interesting way or looking to learn a few culinary tricks, PoshVine is for you.
  • When is PoshVine coming to my city?
    For showcasing restaurants and enabling reservations, we will come to your city very soon. Our objective is to showcase the best dining destinations across India and we will do it at an appropriate and meaningful pace. However, for our foodie experiences, the entire country is your (and our) oyster. If you can tell us about a few unique experiences that you want in your city, please feel free to reach out to us through the Contact page.

Your Account

  • How much does membership cost?
    Absolutely nothing. Zilch. Nada. Basic membership to PoshVine is free. However, we are soon going to launch a unique premium paid membership service. We are working on that and we should be able to bring it to you very soon.
  • How do I sign up?
    Signing up for PoshVine only takes a minute. You have to go to our sign up page, and there you can create an account by filling in your information, or by signing up through Facebook.
  • What information should I provide in my profile?
    PoshVine’s mission is to build a unique network of passionate individuals who love to love great food and who love exploring. It is built on trust and safety, and you greatly increase this trust by showing who you really are. Especially for our hosts who offer these amazing experiences, it is important they already know you so that they can personalize the experience for you. Being as genuine as possible will make all your PoshVine experiences fun and memorable. We therefore encourage you to go by your real name, add a personal profile picture and one or two lines about yourself to your profile. If you are the ‘main’ person booking an activity, we also need your telephone number (in case something unexpected happens).
  • Should I really provide my mobile number? Who sees it?
    By providing your telephone number you’re not only showing to us that you’re real and responsible, you’re also likely to have a better PoshVine experience. It's always good to be within reach in case of unforeseen circumstances, be it as an organizer or as a participant. Rest assured that your privacy is very important to us. PoshVine will never share your personal data with any third party, without your consent. We use your mobile number to send you automatic confirmations of your booking. We never send marketing SMS’s.
  • How do I change my password?
    You can go to 'Settings' and then select 'Change password'.
  • I forgot my password. What can I do now?
    Don't panic! If you forgot your password, you can click the 'Forgot password' link on the login page.

Booking a Table at a Restaurant

  • How do I know if my reservation is confirmed?
    If your reservation gets confirmed, you should automatically get a confirmation SMS and an email from PoshVine. In case you got the confirmation message on screen, but didn’t get a confirmation SMS or email, do get in touch with us immediately. There are times when the mobile service providers in India throw tantrums, but they are rare!
  • What if the restaurant doesn’t honor it?
    There are bleak chances of that happening, as PoshVine regularly updates and manages partnership contracts with all restaurant partners. However, there are times when a change of personnel happens at the restaurant without a proper handover-takeover, and it may get missed out. Instantly call us and we will sort it out for you.
  • What if the restaurant doesn’t honor the promised discount or the complimentary Specials?
    Like the question above, there are bleak chances of that happening but in the unlikely event of this happening, probably it’s a case of a change of personnel happens at the restaurant without a proper handover-takeover. In that case, kindly show them the confirmation SMS that you have. If even that doesn’t work, kindly call us – we will try and sort that out.
  • Is there a cap on the savings I get from PoshVine?
    No. It’s a plain savings of the mentioned percentage, irrespective of what you spend.
  • Do your offers really include alcohol?
    Yes, they do in most cases. In a few cases they don’t, it will be explicitly mentioned in the restaurant page.
  • Do I have to print out my confirmation or some kind of coupon? What about calling ahead to remind the restaurant?
    No on both fronts - once you make your PoshVine reservation, all you need to do is show up at your appointed time with your party and remind your server that you made your reservation through PoshVine. At the end of the meal, ensure the correct discount or offer has been applied and be prepared to show your reservation receipt/SMS.
  • Am I able to change an existing reservation?
    Yes. As of now, you need to call us in order to change it.
  • If something comes up, can I cancel my reservation?
    Yes, but you would need to call us in case you need to cancel your reservation.
  • I think my restaurant could be a perfect partner for PoshVine. Who should I contact?
    We always love hearing about great restaurants. Feel free to contact us with any recommendations.

Booking an Experience

  • What kind of experiences can I find on PoshVine?
    PoshVine curates unique offbeat experiences around food. Whether it’s a pop-up dining experience or an innovative sushi workshop followed by a gourmet meal or a food tour, you can get access to a wide range of flavors and always more to discover on PoshVine.
  • How do I get more information about an experience listed on PoshVine?
    The organizer of an activity is the best resource for more information. You can contact an organizer by using the ‘Ask the host a question’ link on an activity page. We are also soon enabling a private conversation thread directly between the host and you very soon.
  • How do I evaluate the credibility of an experience?
    Look for experiences that have quality photos and descriptions and maybe reviews too. You can also look at the organizer’s profile to learn more about who will be hosting the event. Rest assured, we’re constantly working on finding more ways to improve safety and trust on PoshVine.   • What happens after I pay for an activity?
    After you've successfully booked an activity, we will capture the booking amount from your and you'll receive an email with a booking confirmation. If the event isn't taking place (e.g. because not enough people booked it or the organizer needs to cancel), you'll receive a full refund.
  • How do I know when a booking is confirmed?
    You’ll receive an email from us confirming your successful booking. You may print this out and take with you to the activity. In case of rescheduling the experience or cancellations, you will be kept informed and appropriate measures will be taken.
  • Can I request a custom experience?
    Yes. As of now, you can simply call us or email us and we will do our best to make it happen for you. Very soon we will have specific functionalities on the website itself for you to request the same.

Payments

  • Why should I book experiences using your payment system?
    Our biggest priority is to offer the best experience for both organizers and participants. Therefore, trust and security are extremely important to us. We aim for the best experience possible for any transaction happening on PoshVine, and our payment system plays an important role in that. 

PoshVine uses highly secure payment systems that are also used by many large companies. This means all your transactions are secure and in good hands. By handling bookings through our payment system, we can:
    • Protect organizers and participants through our cancellation policy. Both parties are protected in the case of cancellation;
    • Make sure someone from PoshVine is always there to help you out;
    • Ensure a safe transfer of money between organizers and participants;
    • Keep both parties informed about important updates concerning the activity.
  • What currencies do you support?
    As of now, PoshVine is limited to only INR.
  • Which payment methods do you support?
    At the moment we support standard online transaction methods as adopted by our providers EBS and CCAvenue. They include Debit Card, Credit Card (including American Express), Netbanking and Cash Cards.
  • How can I get a receipt for the booking I have done?
    At the moment we do not provide receipts. But the confirmation email is proof of your booking and the fact that your account has been charged. You can find all details in your dashboard.
  • My credit card is not working, what do I do now?
    You should probably contact your bank. Some common problems include: exceeding the imposed daily limit, expired cards, unrecognizable merchant, or security code (CVV). For any other issues, you can reach out to concierge@poshvine.com.

Before an Experience

  • What happens if the organizer cancels an experience before the scheduled date?
    If the organizer cancels an event that you've booked, we will notify you immediately and you'll receive a full refund.
  • Can I book as a group?
    Yes, you can book as a group. When you book for others, you will become the ‘main’ person booking. Just specify the number of people and amount will change automatically. We are working to make this part more social.
  • What if an organizer asks for money when I arrive?
    Unlikely, but if you have paid the full amount as listed on PoshVine on the website, and you have the confirmation email with you, just give us a call – we will sort this out for you.

Cancellations

  • What if I want to cancel my experience booking?
    As someone who books an activity, you have accepted the cancellation policy stated in our Terms of Service. If you cancel a booking between 2 and 7 days before the event, you have to pay 50% of the event price. Should you cancel in the last 48 hours before the event, you, the participant, have to pay in full.
  • What happens if the experience gets cancelled before the scheduled date?
    If the organizer cancels an activity event you've booked, you'll receive a full refund.

Reviews

  • How do reviews work on PoshVine?
    Reviews allow users to express their opinions on a restaurant or an experience. As of now, we have Facebook Reviews and Comments on the website. However, we will improve this section even more soon.
  • How can I leave a review?
    Anyone who is a registered user can leave reviews for the experiences he/she has attended.
  • Can I delete/edit reviews?
    Unfortunately, at this stage you cannot. But very soon, we will offer this functionality. Please stay tuned.
  • The experience was not as per what I expected, what do I do now?
    The best thing you can do is to leave a review, or get in touch with us at concierge@poshvine.com.

Rewards

  • How do PoshVine Reward Points work?
    PoshVine Rewards are our own way of incentivizing you and creating a loyal set of users. Every time you invite a friend to register on to PoshVine.com, you earn PoshVine Rewards. Every time, you make a table reservation at a partner restaurant or buy an experience, you earn PoshVine Reward Points. For more information, please visit the Rewards page and the Invite page.
  • I have a few hundred PoshVine Reward Points by which I want to buy an experience. But the system is not allowing me. Why?
    It may be because of the way we calculate your PoshVine Reward Points balance. 100 points is equivalent to Rs.10, and you cannot do part payment through PoshVine reward points, and part payment through online banking. You can use your PoshVine Reward Points to purchase an experience only if your Reward Points balance exceeds the equivalent monetary value of the experience.
  • How can I redeem my PoshVine Reward Points?
    In quite a few ways. You can read up more details on the Rewards page. More attractive redemption options are coming soon.
  • Can I encash my PoshVine Reward Points?
    No. It is not permissible by Indian laws. Reward Points is similar to virtual currency and they can be used to purchase services from PoshVine.com, provided you adhere to the Terms and Conditions.
